The Rockhal is intended for use by everyone involved in the world of music: for artists, producers and, of course, for their audiences. Two halls are available as venues for concerts and cultural events. The Great Hall measures 70 x 42 metres and has standing room for about 5,400 and 3,000 seats. Mobile tiers for the audience allow flexible use of the space, which has a height of 17 metres.

The Small Hall with a clear ceiling height of 11.5 metres has 800 seats and offers a suitable stage for performances by artists with a smaller audience. Six rehearsal rooms, two recording studios, a dance hall and a multimedia room round off the facilities in this centre for young musicians.

HOCHTIEF Luxembourg was called in when the time came to construct the sophisticated building shell. Thanks to the use of slipforms, a construction system which enables the seamless building of the shell, the Rockhal made of black concrete rose into the air with breathtaking speed.
